So acoustic tours, not really sure hor I feel about them, but they are popping up everywhere.
Birds of Tokyo, now I love me some local music, even after they have
hit it 'big'. Although my friends from round down under really truly
believe I'm a hip hop head, reality bites...I just like good tune. Back
in the hood that I call Scottsdale, Arizona, I am a rock chick.
Anyways, the first time I saw BOT was at the West Australian Music
Awards. They before with passion, even when everyone was seated and not
really paying attention. I love them, added them to our playlists. They
were heavily rotated on my watch.
A year and a bit alongside heavy rotation on Triple J, here comes the acoustic tour.
Was I keen? At times, but sometimes turning a rock set to an acoustic set with a string quartet just doesn't translate. What one was genuine emotional turned into sappy soft cock rock.
Big ups for Black Sheet and Wayside. Regardless, well worth $50.
